I post this as picture of the day...we are very good friends and still now, classmates since form 1..the first one from the right (wearing tudung), has a degree in accountancy (single). Working and acting as the second boss at 100 superstore in Donggongon..Next to her is a teacher, married with 3 children. Third from the right..hmm..its me! (basar pipi sa kan?) and the last one is now working as a nurse (also married with 2 children). Thanks God all of us has succed in our own field.
BTW, can you spot the 'ERIO 96' on the left? Well, E-Eve, R-Rose, I-Ina, O- Ody. Best kan, dulu suka buat nama gabungan.. What a wonderful moments we had through the years!

My career path..

uisehh..it sounds so serious pla..kali ni sia tulis post dalam BM la.

Ni cerita tentang kerja-kerja yang sia pernah buat duuulu...

1st job:
Nda tau la mo bg nama apa dengan keja ni..tapi produk yg dihasilkan ialah kacang goreng pasir..yeaay..faham ke? maksud sia kacang tanah digoreng dengan pasir panas. Kalau nak test ni kacang banyak dijual saanaa simpang pg Kota Marudu and Kudat. Panas tau..habis time tu bos pakai kayu bakau sebagai bahan api..Penat lg habis pakai kuali besar. Tangan kena kuat menggaul tu kacang. Lambat sikit gaul, hangus la kacang...hitam sikit kena reject, nda ble jual, kami yg untung..bos bagi, bawa balik rumah..puas la makan kacang time tu. Nasib nda da jerawat. Hehehe..

Tempat kerja dekat kampung juga. Tapi bkn kampung sia. Jiran. Kena jalan kaki selama lebih kurang 1 jam. Bukan kilang, tapi rumah. Kira bisnes keluarga la. Gaji RM5 satu hari. Murah kan? Tapi nda pa. Makan kena tanggung. Paling siok, sampai ja di rumah bos, kena bagi minum kupi sama makan biskut dulu baru mula kerja. Lagi satu, kawan satu kampung satu sikul semua kerja sana..siok sangat rasanya sebab dapat duit sendiri. Memang kami berpakat mo kerja sama-sama tu. oh ya, time tu cuti sekolah hujung tahun 1996. Kerja lebih kurang 2 minggu ja. Berhenti sebab penat. duduk kat rumah, menebalkan lemak sampai mula school balik.

2nd job:
Hujung tahun 1998. Sales Assistant dekat satu mini market di kudat. Kalau nda silap nama kedai tu Lo and brothers. Belum ada Milimewa lagi. Kazen yang recomment. Mama sama bapa, sama abang2 sia yang sangat protektif tu cakap 'nda payah la kerja, duduk rumah ja. nanti kami bagi duit'. Tapi mo juga kerja. Boring konon dekat rumah. Time tu, tinggal satu minggu lagi keputusan SPM mo keluar. Antara tugas2 sia: susun barang, letak tanda harga, cek stok and layan customer. Hari2 begitu.

Adakah patut time kami kerja, dia tingu buntut kami ja..pas tu ketawa-ketawa. Gatal betul. Padahal baju kami, T-shirt besar2. Lagi satu, belum lagi kami habis buat kerja yang dia suruh, suruh lagi kami buat yang lain. Tidak logik betul. Sia sama kawan sa punya berani melawan tu bos. Hari2 begitu, hari2 kami lawan. Baru dia tau, yang jadi salesgirl dia ni, educated.(aiseh..!) Bukan macam tu pekerja lain yang nda berani lawan. Nasib dia nda halau kami bila kami lawan sebab kami betul.

Kami buat apa? Kami berabis makan keropok sedap2 dekat stor! hahahaha..best betul time tu..konon2 cara mo balas dendam sama tu bos yang gete la..ha, ni staff lama yang ajar, termasuk kazen sa la. Hehehee..harap2 bos nda da blog..nanti dia terbaca. Hari-hari pigi beli sana kedai..kalau nda silap kja bomba. Lepas berhenti kerja, nda contact lg. Time tu handfon belum popular lg. Masih mahal.

Making soy bean milk

Do you know how to make fresh soy bean milk? Here goes a very informative post frm me (hope it does).

I thought the process is damn difficult. But hey, after watching the students presentation (in which they need to demonstrate something), its not that difficult at all. (Thanks to Ms Rita for allowing us to be the audience CUM the food tester!) I cant wait for the weekend to try it!

1. First, naturally all you need is a pack of dry soy bean (choose the white dry one) which can be bought from many supermarkets.

2. Soak the beans in the cold water - make sure the beans covered with water - at least 8 hours. (NOTE: soaking time also can be maximum to 24 hours. Remember do not oversoaked the beans as it will effects the soy milk test. In between the soaking period, you can change the water few times)

3. Next step, blend the beans with adequate liquid (of course you need blender to grind up the beans). Grind until the beans are finely ground. It depends on the milk thickness. If u like it thick, put less water. If you like it mild, add more water.

4. Then, you need to strain or more better if you squeeze using cheesecloth to get the milk only. The filtered liquid is pure soy milk.

5. Before you drink the milk, boil it to the boiling point. Finally, its ready to drink. Add sugar/honey if you dont like its original taste. You may also add flavour to it. Or you may choose what to put to mask the flavor. I will try pandan flavour. Mesti sadap...

6. The milk is best drink straight away. It is totally preservative-free so it may not be kept too long.

What to do with Okara?

Remember when you squeeze the blended soy bean? There is fibrous part of the beans which you called -Okara. I asked my friend what to do with that? Do not throw it. It contains high fiber, protein, calcium and other minerals. So, i guess we can mix it with sandwich..hahaa..not sure..you find the info.

P/s: i know this is not very informative enough, but at least i've give you an idea to start.
Happy trying everyone!! (to me too).
